Def looks like a 'competitor' if its 1599 Euros / £1385 with sonar/gps/autopilot all rolled into one package . . .looks like theres a pre-order offer for 1299 Euros / £1125 which is a relative bargain if it performs and they do the same for the UK market.

Cannot access the Dutch site but looking at the vid it looks like its running an updated version of the XR310 handset with mini integrated sonar which is interesting . . .also looks fast!

I'm sure Toslon will have options in terms of sonar and like all Toslons easy to pimp with other Sonar products (eg Raymarine / TechAdvision etc)

So looking at the Toslon Xboat 5 the screen is on the handset and it looks a little small. Can any Toslon users please comment on that? One of the reasons I liked the Deeper Quest was I could use it with a tablet.

Is a fully loaded Toslon better than a fully loaded Deeper Quest when the Deeper is £500 cheaper?

Sounds interesting Ÿ¤” After chatting to Joe @ BBS I'd decided the next boat would probably be a Tolson.

Took my RT4 out for the 1st time since it went back to CLUK for a light issue, no lights one side. Tested it when it came back last Feb, all good. Took it out last week, 1st trip fine, after that same problem again Ÿ¤¬

On the carp royale platform you can order in May , I guess RTK will be one of the upgrades.

Annoyingly no idea . . .but looking at the website it seems to have similar Deeper like updateability - of particular interest (to me at any rate) is the RTK GPS interface and assumed Toslon reliability in a boat that's not XBoat sized!

Quick google says

Deeper Quest Bait Boat: Specifically designed for mapping, this boat uses CHIRP sonar for high-resolution bathymetric mapping through the Fish Deeper„¢ app. It offers 1m GPS accuracy, auto-scan modes, 7-hour runtime, and 2kg hopper capacity.
Rippton CatchX Mini GPS: A compact option with a free mapping feature that uses the Rippton app to create depth maps via sonar compatibility. It features a 1.5kg capacity, 400m range, and 2-hour runtime.
NDS Integrated Sonar BaitBoat (Camo1): This boat features auto-mapping, 3D bathymetric lake bed mapping, and programmable actions, allowing you to plot a route for the boat to survey automatically.
Sailvvay X-Series Bait Boat: Features built-in sonar with a 500m range that displays depth, temperature, and bottom structure on a 5-inch full-color handheld screen, allowing for immediate, on-the-spot mapping.
Howes Models Lake Reaper: This boat offers a pre-fitted GPS autopilot with a "Survey Mode," allowing you to select multiple survey points on a map for the boat to travel through automatically.
Obv RT7

Does it have to map further than 200m, if not a Deeper towed would give more flexibility re boats, you just have to map side to side rather than up and down, otherwise you can lose signal.

Does any other boat out there have the swim mapping function that the Deeper Quest has?

Joe has done stuff for me before. He's great obviously, but the downside is I probably won't get the boat back for 6 months as he's so busy.

Ive got a deeper quest but never used it but people i fish with have them and say its the best boat they have owned and they have had a few. Theres a new down scan module coming out for it in a couple of months which is going to make it even better.

I've had the quest for a year now and it really is a great bit of kit.

Prior to this I'd had a Toslon with X-Pilot,which at the time I loved, but the quest is so much lighter and smaller, which suits my needs, and the gps seems more accurate. The only slight niggle is, Deeper occasionally have updates which for some users cause issues (I've been lucky to date and not had any). Probably the only other negative is for the odd person who has had an issue, they have to return the boat to Lithuania for repairs.

I had an e-mail from Deeper today about a new small boat ideal for weekends, called the Spark, might be of interest

Re your viper, have a chat with Joe Jacobs of baitboat solutions, might even be able to fix your hummingbird.

I need a new bait boat with Sonar. I quite liked the look of the Angling Technics Ultracat but then I saw the Deeper Quest which I also liked the look of. I realise the is an Ultracat 2 due at the end of June.

Can users of these boats give me some pros and cons of these models please.

I already have a Viper Mk3 which had a Hummingbird RF15 installed on the boat but it's never worked. Could I get another sonar device fitted?
