I've used them in bags tied with braid as a simple knotless knot rig , on spinner rigs with pop ups with a fluro boom and also as wafter rigs with a bait screw , kicker and stop tied up with esp soft tungsten loaded hook link . No problems with any of these rigs . Give em a go I don't think you will be disappointed 👍

Apologies, I should've been more precise. I use a rig ring with a hair tied to it, well strictly speaking the hair is just a loop of braid passed through the ring then through itself, ala loop to loop if you will. I tie the braid loops using a stonfo loop tyer for consistent results but recently bought a similar version of Temu that does bigger loops (then I found my old Solar Hair gauge 🙄)
I think the rig ringed hair allows more and easier movement.

I use ESP Tungsten loaded semi-stiff for both multi rig and spinners.
For the multi-rig, a loop on each end (with a tungsten dropper half way along). Finished rig about 7" for me fishing clean bottoms.
Optionally strip back some coating for a cm just above the loop at the hook end. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Probably gives nicer hooking chance/rig mechanics to have that hinge there.
I make the hook link longer if I know there's some rubbish in the swim, leaves, light weed etc. This winter I was using 10 to 12" spinner rigs and they were getting me more runs that shorter rigs.

Just as a standard no knot ? I like simple rigs in a bag so may use them for bags too. No knot and a little wafter.

Won't help you much, too old fashioned 😂 I use method feeders a lot so mine are 4" ESP Anchor Rig Braid with a rig ringed bait, hair if bottom baits, screw for pop up & weight.
I'd be quite happy using that or a longer variant in bags or as a standard hook link.

Agreed, a solid hook, and at risk of ridicule from some, keep sharp for a few captures. I've been using them near 10 years, here and abroad, big fish, small fish, big baits small baits, all good.

One of my clubs has gone barbless, so I had to delve into the unknown.
The bank tackle beaked point and the korda basix beaked point have both been excellent.
I do sharpen them up, and these then keep the point with a dab of my oil pen with no issues.

The krank 4s are definitely the best barbless hook I've used and I've tried most patterns over the last few years .

I prefer barbed but my syndicate is strictly barbless
I think barbless is a fair rule if there’s snags or lots of weed. Generally when I catch fish the Krank 4 is so firmly in the bottom lip I could play the fish all day long without fear of losing it.
If I had a break off and the hook link got tangled in weed I don’t think that fish would free itself, at least not very easily or quickly.
I’ve had the odd fish weed me up on barbless, and if I can’t wiggle the fish free easily then I slacken off and lay the rod down and then reel in the rig 5min later when the fish has freed itself

I'd never fish somewhere that enforces a barbless rule. It's one of the dumbest things in carp fishing

Sometimes it is just poor feeding gusto, grazing or picking, not really having it...
or small carp picking the bait up in their lips, clamping their small mouths and moving off, Hooks not really far enough in the mouth for a decent hook hold.
I have also experienced this, different stock/older fish. Some have tough mouths like leather where hooks never come out, or the others that are soft, and tear a straight line the inside of the mouth, and only just make it into the landing net and fall out with a tiny bit of slack.
Just need some perseverance, decent weather/feeding conditions AND THE BEST QUALITY BAIT YOU CAN AFFORD, if those carp really find it attractive and want to eat it, rigs are not that important, as long as it is sharp.
I'm sure it will all come good.

Just to play devils advocate...
If the fish were ravenous I would have thought they'd want to swallow the food.
Therefore it would be on a one way journey...
Not the suck'n'blow "Shall I, shan't I eat it" that you often see on underwater videos where they drift in and pick a few bits up and then blow a lot of it back out.
