Oddly enough they were using kit that looked suspiciously “carpy”.The tench and bream must get quite big to justify the kit they’re using. I

Are these bream and tench anglers bivying up with big nets and unhooking mats or fishing days only with quiver tips and a million different tubs of baits?

Just wondering if anyone has any info on Stewartby Lake near Bedford, the water sports lake. I have a chance of a ticket but all the anglers are very cagey, most will only mention tench and bream with no admission of any carp. I’ve seen some evidence of predation around 15 years ago and a few carp pictures which are difficult to date but nothing else. Any ideas?
