In reply to Post #1 It is easy to make an aminos liquid, but having a bait full of aminos won't necessarily do you any good. Some aminos are more potent than others at different times of the year. Some have a negative effect. You need to know which ones and when. You won't get this information from any scientific papers, as these people have no experience of fish behaviour throughout the year in the wild. Only an angler can discover it.

In reply to Post #1 1. You won't know until you use it, that's part of the fun.
2. Just experiment.
3. Refer to 1&2
Soak, you've got a couple of particulate heavy liquids there, the liver and belachan, they will settle out, as will the oil. I'm assuming you don't want to use a emulsifier.
The belachan will dissolve in the fish sauce for eg but you will need to wazz it up in a blender or leave soaking for a while and stir in.
PM for you

In reply to Post #1 I wouldn't use balachan as not likely to dissolve much. Save it for the boilie mix.
I'd sub with pdfm, actifish, or LT.
I add the fishmeal to the fish sauce and get it as dissolved as possible before adding any hydro and other liquids.

Hi everyone,
I’ve been experimenting with making my own carp liquids and I’d like some feedback from more experienced bait makers.
I recently made a fermented chicken liver liquid and I’m planning to turn it into an amino-based hookbait and bait soak. This is the recipe I’m thinking of using:
Ingredients
- 1 liter fermented chicken liver liquid
- 150 ml Tiparos fish sauce
- 50 g Marmite / yeast extract
- 25 g Belachan (finely grated)
- 2 g Betaine HCL
- 25 ml hemp oil
The idea behind it is to create a strong natural amino signal with liver, fish sauce, yeast extract and belachan, with a small amount of betaine as a feeding trigger and hemp oil for a vertical signal in the water column.
My questions:
1. Does this look like a well-balanced liquid or is it overkill?
2. Would you change any of the quantities?
3. Is there anything natural you would add or remove?
The base liver liquid is currently fermenting and will be ready in a few days.
Any feedback or advice would be appreciated!
Thanks.
