Pva bag and crosswinds don't mix well. You'll be up against it to keep accurate

How are you casting a bag on a helicopter without the impact causing the top bead to dislodge and potentially end up with the hooklink miles from the lead, hindering indication? Are you somehow putting the lead in the bag with the hooklink? I struggle to get the top bead to stay put casting a single hookbait lol
I flirt with helicopters from time to time, but always come to the same conclusion and revert to leadclips or running leads lol.

.35 is around 15lb and would be fine with a 3.5 oz lead without a shock leader for 80yds

Would 0.35 be an 18lb line? My reel is a Sonik SK47 which I believe is a 7000 size.
Would I be able to cast a 3.5oz lead that distance from the 0.35 line without the need for a shock leader?

witht that diameter line you don t really want to be going more than a 3.0z lead, .35 for a 3.5oz lead is what id be looking at

I've got 15lb subsonik which I think is 0.31 and have tried a 3 Oz distance lead and struggled to get to the clip in the cross wind

Help me set this rod up please.

Rod is 12' 3.25 t/c. I want to cast a helicopter rig 80 yards with a German rig and small PVA mesh bag attached.

There is usually a strong cross wind on the lake and I want to hit the clip every time without struggling.

What size lead should I use and what diameter line?

Thanks
