Looks like crowbar bit off more than he could chew having a go at this fella. And then when knowingly being filmed, sounds like a naughty schoolboy in the headmaster's office with the defence of " no I never, no I never " Lol. If this is what being a self obsessed, desperate, commercially driven carp " superstar " drives you to, then take heed all you wannabe future carp " heroes ".

The rematch won't be for for a while yet. Apparently Avid weren't too happy with their main man being taken to the ground so quickly. So, they have paid for Simon to undergo an intensive 3 month Brazilian Jujitsu course. If he is victorious, then Avid can once more rejoice in the glory of what a true superstar they have on their books.

Pay per view or is it worth just going to see it ring side

He used to be on here I think his name was crowbar. I started a thread on one of his sgite videos. He came on and tried to defend himself. Basically he’s done a video about cutting down on weight and even measuring out his milk so he could travel light. There was this video of him with a solar worldwide pod ( He was sponsored by some at the time) totally contradicted himself and couldn’t take any criticism of his video.
His latest video slagging off anglers !! The bloke comes across as a tool.

I hadn't heard anything about a swim being messed up, just a bit of fisticuffs.
Neither party admitted to throwing the first punch, which to me is all important. Even as an overweight old git, if someone throws a punch my way I guarantee I won't be turning the other cheek. I can't imagine many guys would?
I'm not sure that I can imagine Crowy (I don't know him personally) throwing the first punch with what he potentially has to lose.

Hi Vossy, I do understand what you’re saying and i do agree that this behaviour is embarrassing and a sad topic to discuss.
Again your opinion is as valid as my own, all of us cannot agree on everything, it would be a boring forum if we did.

But to answer your questions:

How can the best scenario be to move him to another water?

My hope is that he’ll be mindful of getting banned and would act accordingly with respect to others on a new water, as he’ll be watched and under scrutiny. I could be naive, but someone should be given a second chance.

Should fellow anglers on new water have to tip toe round him?

Definitely not, people taking liberties should be called out if they’re taking away others enjoyment. But as a caveat, he’ll be warned that any misconduct on said new lake and your ticket will be gone.

What has someones past or social status got to do with acting violently on the bank?

It doesn’t, what I was getting at in a round about way was that we all make mistakes and banning someone across all waters as you mentioned and stopping them fishing, due to one act of stupidity should not define the person. But as he is in the media of our hobby all of his dirty washing is bought to the masses. I don’t really know anything of the fella and any past disputes he may or may not have had, just that he goes fishing and obviously has some issues he needs to address.

Regards.

We're all entitled to our opinions, and I'm not saying yours is wrong, just commenting on what you've written.

Imagine for 1 minute if Mr Crow would have tried to do that to a ex marine or para, just think what might have happened, it doesn't bare thinking about, they have pasts and control them.

I can understand the frustration with other anglers, been there myself but I chose not to react. In one instance I tried to reason with said angler but they were having none of it. I packed up and left as I knew I would react if it continued, it was too late by then and I was no longer enjoying myself and that's why I'm there.

....you can walk away even when in the right, it's a sign of strength, not weakness, and given Crow spends more time on the bank than most would it really of mattered to him?

As for his followers thinking it's a laugh as per Greekskii...are there really that many anglers out there like that, or is it just social bully mentality. If that's a reflection of how it is it saddens me. I just hope the decent anglers outnumber the not so decent.

Edit, right I'll get off my soap box now

Interesting. The angler who posted this was recently interviewed on Sam Barley's podcast - The Carp Chronicles. Not that it's entirely relevant but may provide a bit of context? Just to clarify that, there was no mention of this incident as the podcast was obviously recorded a while before...

Right ok.
I’ve never had any social media ever so haven’t seen any comments, I draw the line at an email and going on here occasionally.
That’s sad then, there’s nothing funny about getting into a fight with a fellow angler. Hopefully, his employers will pull him aside and hold him to account.
