You've kind of answered your own question if those dates concern you.

Iirc, bbd are are European law. Obv you'll be led to believe fresher is better and with certain things, highly oiled for eg, oxidation will be touted as a concern.

Simply buy the freshest possible as if negates any doubt people will put in your mind, ...but be aware everyone is made to think that and it may be beneficial to think differently.

So looking at buying glugs, liquids, sprays and pop ups etc on line and notice from previous purchases they have a best before date.

What’s an acceptable purchase date and a BB date when you buy on line?
