He whipped some Neville Ball Pegs (standard for all my rods) on my 13' Aviators (Bob at Fosters had just retired) and did an excellent job . . .would def consider him for any future works . . .

I bought a net off him over the Christmas period that someone had asked him to build and then pulled out.

really nice quality to his work and a very decent guy. I'd be confident in buying rods off him.

It’s a Seaguide DPS seat. I have one on a Tacklebox CFX rod, it’s not bad.

Yeah before Harrison’s started supplying me with my own 9ft stalker blanks I built on these and rated them as the following.15-45 (2lb tc) 30-75 (2 .25 tc) 45-90 (2.75 tc) 60-120 (3lb t.c)
They are a ground blank very nice but needs short handle to get the best out of them.

Yes seen that on harrisons website and they are listed as spinning rods with min and max casting weights in grams. The rod on ebay is listed as 2.25 tc though even though its a spinning blank. It will be getting used for salmon spinning as well bit these fake fujis are putting me off.

The vhf is a blank made for spinning rods . Really good blanks which i have used for stalking. These are the cheapest blanks harrison produce but still decent.

This was his reply below.

You cant get the fujis in black anymore, they are double the cost and are either grey or silver.
Thats why i use these, they are superb quality for the money , black or gun smoke finish.
Built on the vhf blank, very thin but loads of low down grunt, ideal for this sort of fishing 👌

Why the hell would a rod builder use fake fuji guides ? Did he say who makes the fakes lol ? I know anything fuji is difficult to get now the major importer has ceased trading.

I asked what guides were on the rod and he said it has good quality fake fuji k guides so thats put me off a bit as never heard of fake ones, at least hes honest. They do look good mind but dont want inserts popping out which wouldnt happen with genuine fuji’s.

Tried to get a net off him a couple of years back. Coms at the time were a little sketchy and turned to nothing so I bought a net elsewhere.

Does some decent looking stuff on eBay which is what attracted me to them in the first place.
