Never had an issue with wind knots or fraps when using braid. Avid braid seems to be a winner

In reply to Post #9 Ha, sounds about right. I only use it on spod and marker rods tbh.

In reply to Post #8 I’ve never had a single issue with braid on spod rod. As soon as I try to use braid on my fishing rods all hell breaks loose. Wind knots, frap ups the lot. Hate the stuff.

In reply to Post #5 I’ve literally only ever had one wind knot with braid. I did not even attempt to sort it out, it was that bad lol. Fortunately it was immediately after launching, so only lost about about 40 odd yards!

In reply to Post #3 Congratulations on going 5 years without losing hundreds of yards due to wind knots and throwing your rod into the nearest tree in disgust.

In reply to Post #3 I would reverse it as the braid at the bottom of the spool will be like new
