Probably like you, I grew up watching the BDO, I was gutted when it ended, but end it did.

I still love the darts, love watching the fans, and the standard of the young players is something else at the mo, who cares if Sky are driving it for financial gain.

As a Man U supporter it'd be hypocritical of me to say otherwise, and I'd rather watch the dart fans than the people in OT or the players on the pitch. My Mrs has renewed our Now TV/Sky Sports last 3 years running as I refuse to watch MU, I was grateful she fell asleep on the sofa on Mon so I could turn the darts on.

Lakeside also had fishing, remember Jim Davidson catching that Carp off the jetty was it

Totally agree. Cringeworthy master of ceremonies and crowd singing the same songs booing when players are on the oche.

Lakeside all day long.

Not so sure, could be really good fun, he's playing Luke Humphries, world #2. They're good friends, Lims beaten him before, think it was just before he won Ally Pally, so not that long ago, 2020, when he was a whipper snapper at 66 ish
In all honesty I can see Lims speed messing Lukes game up but I can only see 1 winner.

That clip of Menzies, its in the papers today that when he appeared to be leaning on the table he'd bent down and had 1 hand on the outlet to the firework/sparkler thing, blocking it ...showed his hand bleeding like crazy...

Edit, clip

Good to see but
He’s gonna get hammered in the next round throwing so many low scores.

Wow on beating up a defenceless table

Oh yes, back at 71 years of age, won his opening match, the crowd were right behind him, it was lovely to see

Have a look at these highlights, listen to the crowd

On a darker note, punching tables

Any darts fans on the forum, watching the Ally Pally?

Highlight so far for me, the crowd with Mr Lim, and the Wasp, naturally
