I've got the Solar and it really is amazingly comfortable. As said below it is very heavy, you'll notice the difference on the barrow. The legs are very long, too long for me so I've shortened them which wasn't too difficult. I've got the standard version which is perfectly wide enough and the sleep system is really good too.

I think it was mark Bryant who said he had changed all his elastic out and uses cable ties to firm up his bedchair after his accident and it worked for him

I've got an original Avid Benchmark X sleep system. I've tightened up the bungees to make it as firm as possible. I put a sim under the memory foam, and that helps with the firmness, and I find it's now perfect for me.
The SS is a little tight around my feet, I'm a size 13 and find there's a lot of pressure on my toes as there isn't enough material at the foot end. Something I think a lot of SS's suffer with. I may swap out the SS bit and put a sleeping bag on it to gain more foot room.
I wanted memory foam when I bought a bed, and Avid were the first to make one so went with the Benchmark. However, It's fleece lined and I move about a lot at night and find myself caught up in the fabric, so would go for a smooth lined SS now, although, I'd still go for a wide version.
Overall, I like it, It could be better for me, but I find it works ok now I've altered it somewhat.

I have used the Nash systems since they came out . Both that I've had have been standard width. A few years back I borrowed my mates wide version and found it really uncomfortable compared to mine, it wasn't firm enough for my liking. So bigger isn't always better

Had them all over the years nash trakker levelite and now the solar which is a level above - as mentioned below and widely acknowledged here a sim is a game changer
Im a big lad 6'3 18 stone and one thing i would say for me personally the wide models arent really needed having had both i now use the standard as i dont think it makes much difference personally and its just more bulk to carry and manouvere

Solar beds are best on the market imo,the memory foam bed is heavy though.I got rid of mine and got a cheaper solar bed and and self inflatable mattress,half the weight and can adjust comfort to suit

Now im approaching my mid 50s 🫣
Its time to treat myself to a wide comfortable sleep system for my old back.
A duel layer 5 to 3 season bag ..
What do people recommend? I like the look of the solar memory foam one ...
