If someone had worn a jumper in for me already, I'd be delighted 👌

Only expensive if you don't get the use out of it though, I've got lots of jumpers from cheap weird fish to Gansey and many in between from Barbour and Rohan. Some of mine are probably near on twenty years old same as some of my shoes but like I say if you get the use out of them they're not expensive in the long term. No good of course if your the type of person that has to have new stuff all the time.

I've got a Heritage jumper and I love it. Bought a large which is huge on me so sizing is on the generous side

Gansey.... that's a name I've not heard in a while. That's what me old man used to call Jumpers. He was from the west coast of Ireland not to far from the Aran Isles. They knew a thing or two about Ganseys..

Vinted. You can pick up some without the carp tax, hiking tax, patagonia snap back tax. I got mine for about a tenner, still going strong five years later.

A traditional trawlermans jumper bud, maybe also known as a Guernsey I don't know.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll look through them all. Doing a bit of googling, I think the actual name for the type of jumper I'm after is a Gansey - bloody expensive tho

Put a Dachstein mountain jumper in the for sale section on here. Only 1 person was interested but it didn’t fit him, but no interest from anyone else. Probably one of the warmest pullies around. I was really surprised by the lack of interest.

Offered it on here for £40 no takers, bunged it on eBay went for £60.

Sometimes bargains are under your nose.

You're probably more likely to find one in a shooting shop/suppliers.
Or one of the old gold esp ones?
I prefer fleeces as well like previously mentioned, Swazi do a good hooded one also!

Got to admit I don't normally wear jumpers for fishing, preferring light fleeces, but I do love the M&S Merino Wool jumpers which I sometimes wear under the light fleece.

You could do worse than look at the shop I always link on here, New Forrest Clothing, lots of hunting/fishing/working jumpers, some with 100s of reviews, often from those who work outside
