I would just use a ring swivel, bait floss and hair stop

Easy to think of a few solutions whilst sitting at home in the warm
Different when it's wet and cold on the bank

I've not used mono but I have used bait floss to do the same

On one end I'll loop the floss around a boilie stop
pull the 2 tag ends through
push the boilie stop into the bait (I hate them not being flush with the surface!)
now blob the 2 tag ends and try to make a nice big 'smudge' of blob to hold that second bait on as best as it can.

I've done this with bottom baits and even a little plastic corn on top of a boilie.
Once the baits are joined you can use the bait screw.

I do have some of the longer bait screws from Bank Tackle or eBay, but usually I don't want that extra metal (weight) in the bait making it move even more unnaturally than it already does compared to the freebies

You could shrink wrap the baits together or use armour mesh and then just use your standard screws

When at home
Set the snowman up using a piece of thick line between the 2 and blob the ends so they are ready to go.
When on the bank use a standard length screw as normal. And wind them on

I am using rather big baits of at least 24 or 28mm and would like to add a little 12-15mm pop up for a snowman set-up.

I havent found any baitscrews (I am using a D-Rig) longer than 30mm so I have to use a plastic screw to attach the pop-up to the hookbait.
Very often though this wont hold and the pop-up gets lost.

Are you aware of any companies producing bait screws longer than 30mm e.g.. 40mm or longer? Is there anything out there I could use as a replacement that is non-carp angling? Thanks much for your help!
