Sorry I probably explained it badly

I placed an order which I wanted sent to my home address. Everything, the invoice, the delivery instruction, the proof of delivery etc. all had the correct delivery address on.

Because TFT put the order through "manually", instead of using the address supplied, they used a completely different address. One that I used once a long time ago but was still sitting on their system somewhere.

Basically, the address label they stuck on the actual parcel was incorrect and didn't tie up with anything else

When the parcel got delivered to the address on the label (i.e not my house) the so called "proof of delivery" indicated that it had arrived at my house miles away instead.

At the time TFT where happy that the "proof of delivery" was good and stopped replying on the Whatsapp chats. Its was only after I managed to locate and recover it myself, I got back in touch and they explained what had happened

So you are complaining because they & the courier delivered to the address you gave them, due to your error

I was the same, used them loads never had a problem.

When i did start having a problem/s they were terrible. Difficult to contact, slow to respond and then useless too. Eventually I swore I would never use them again.

Fast forward 6 months and I saw a good deal on an expensive item so i decided to use them again as a one off, surely nothing could go wrong this time? What a mistake!

Short story is they sent/delivered my bivvy to the wrong address. I didn't find this out until later but it had been delivered to an ex-girlfriends address that I had used once many years ago that was still on their system somewhere.

As far as TFT were concerned, the bivvy had been delivered to the correct address, which was the one on the invoice (mine), and this was backed up by the couriers so called "proof of delivery". So TFT washed their hands of it and stopped responding to the Whatsapps, nothing to do with them anymore?

My CCTV said otherwise or I would have assumed it had been delivered correctly and stolen from my outside house. Luckily I got a phone call a few days later from an honest person at the address and I managed to recover it myself otherwise it would have just been gone for good.

Like most things, you only know how good (or bad) these companies are when you have a problem

I've had 3 issues in the last twelve months with faulty items and each time they've tried doing me over on a refund - the last time I had to threaten legal action as they said they wouldn't refund me because the item was older than six months - said solar would only replace!

They lied in emails and I was passed around from person to person but they soon changed their tune when I threatened legal action BUT I shouldn't have had to do that - p*** poor company and won't ever use them again!!!

Before I paid for the xtra option, I had mixed experiences - delivery would frequently take several days and I even had a reel and a bivvy delivered as new that were either ex demo or returns.

Since xtra, they have been excellent. Next day delivery, extra discounts, etc. Been worth the 12 quid I paid already

Trying to get rid of the slow moving stock maybe.

It's a great time for shops to try and move on dead stock.

Their practices on black Friday are excessive and I don't tend to buy at that time for this reason. You are also correct in that you can get the same item from their eBay store for less, I've done that a few times, biggest saving was on a barrow, think I got it for £40 cheaper. That being said, I've never had any problems with them and the 2 times an order did go wrong I was able to contact them via Messenger and get the issue sorted both times

Had loads of stuff mailed from TFT over the years. Never had an issue. Always delivered on time and packaged really well including rods and recently a bait boat. Streets ahead of other major retailers 🙌
