Have you checked that there isn't a bent pin in your plug connections? is it possible any settings have been accidentally changed which may throw an error up?
as others have said e08 is throttle error the 5 wires in are power in switch power out to controller, ground and signal in signal out for control. The power in and switch out is easy to check you obviously have power in to power up your throttle.
It isn't just a simple case of buying a replacement throttle as not all are compatible to the controller and will give you an e10 error i know as i have benn there with my global kit.
I bought this item number 404260498470 from ebay which is throttle and controller which worked fine for me the 5 wire plug is what you minus globals quick connector and the other 2 wires are to power an aux light so not needed
But with this or any other throttle/ controller you still have to go through and input the correct parameters, a basic throttle switch and controller from the l faster type kits do work and dont need parameters settings and would be a similar price, Im not certain but the l faster throttle may be analogue and the global kit digital so not interchangeable they are certainly some differences.

You've probably already done a search but I just googled 'error code E08 on the S886' and it appears to be a common issue on e-bikes with associated fixes, worth a nosey if you haven't

Yep was thinking the same but have defo got sockets connected solidly with arrows together.
Might need a new throttle or maybe wiring

That error refers to the throttle mate, check the connection plug and socket are fully pushed together

Hi Chaps
Got a Global Angling conversion on my MK2 Carp porter and been happy with it.
Am I right that Global Angling have ceased trading now? Heard a rumour and can’t seem to get on the website
Got an error code E08 on the S886 controller and power to the unit is ok but nothing to the wheel. I don’t have the physical manual and as website is down of course can’t load the website one so a bit stuck.
I have tried the usual disconnect everything, push everything in properly again and power off and on….same code 🤕
Anyone help me please or know where I send to get sorted?
