line cut into rubber section on bail arm basia 45Q

Has anyone else had this happen, where the line cuts into the rubber bit behind the roller on the bail arm? I thought the reel had chucked it whilst playing a fish as i was struggling to wind. i noticed eventually and pulled the line out the slit in the rubber. Now its happened once i can see it happening again, so need to replace this part. Just want to know if it's tricky?
