Great for some, but many can see that in the not too distant future that RH, Korda and Angling Direct will be the three biggest names in the industry by a country mile.

Sad really.

At least with the big lake currently... pre works it looks natural, surrounded by lovely trees and rush lined, not another bivvy in sight like a nice wild, tree lined lake, you might be right, must be a certain age thing.

Not all electric supply to swims, type 1/wood chipped, level manicured swims for the masses.

RH Fisheries are not usually my cup of tea at all, but this one looks interesting. And as you say, at least the general public you can still fish it.

Yes, they are expensive, but so is everything. The syndicate I'm in is currently £1000 a year, going up to £1200 next year. Good thing about RH fisheries, you can try it once, and if you don't like it, you don't have to go again.

Well at least it ain't been lost to fishing. Even though there probably going to be filled up with swimming pool breed table fish..And charging the earth for the pleasure. Its Carp fishing lads but not as we once knew it. Or some of us of a certain age anyway.

The best thing he could do will be to net out and dump the existing silvers, bream etc. keep the 10 biggest carp and dump the rest. Then put in 3000 super freaks. That will be brilliant.

Surprised he's not done it before tbh and copied the Korda way. As a business man he's probably realised there's money to be made from syndi's and ticket waters...why it took so long for another venue is the only Q for me.

Very mixed feelings. I had my PB pike off the Hotel bank many yrs ago.
The great lake was regularly match fished, pike fished (though not as good as it once was) and a rekindling for carp fishing though fish were fairly small.
Other lakes have fell by wayside from what I gather.
Good opportunity but he's a business man so its just more space for insta lottery carper and another midlands water lost to moneybags!

Reading the info, another instant big fish water coming... if that is your thing
The 70 acre great lake, he is talking about stocking up to around 3,000 fish in 70 acres
( 42 fish an acre )

We are incredibly excited to announce that we have purchased all the lakes on the Patshull Park Estate! We have got a very busy few years ahead of us, with plans to re-build the whole complex with a brand new fishery lodge also new swims and tracks! We have currently got a massive amount of very special fish growing on at the moment which will all be stocked into the Patshull Park Fisheries with some being in excess of 55lb+ 🤯 Make sure you follow us on all social media platforms and join us on the journey to make Patshull Park Fisheries the best carp fishing complex in the UK 🇬🇧

Rob and Harry have just posted on the RH fisheries socials that they have bought it.. very much a lifelong ambition of Robs from what he said.. i find what they do interesting.. certainly not everyones cup of tea, not sure its mine but one day i may venture onto one of their venues...

As for Patsall, I think the previous management fell out of love with it so maybe it needs a bit of work.. Rob mentions the amount of work that needs doing before it opens so maybe that was the case...

Goodluck to em, they invest heavily into the sport I love and any investment to the port can only be a good thing to grow it overall...

I'm not into social media but quite a few of the waters went quiet. I never fished it but knew of it through the Patshull Park Mix @quality baits and when I used to collect my stuff from Simon he always had some great pictures of the fish from there, and the Kingsbury waters up on the stable wall.

This was a venue I hadn't heard much about in recent years. And has just recently popped up on my social media feeds. This venue was renowned for producing commons back in the late 80s early 90s when commons of that size were as rare as hens teeth. And this water wasn't even down south. It's slap bang in the midlands so even more special.

From what I can remember. Access to the water was difficult. All the fishing had to be done of duck boards. The water was full of eels so boiled baits were a know, Know. Emp and growllers seemed to be the bait of choice. It was fished by all the great and good from that area at the time by the likes of Shaun harrison, Des Taylor and Rob Hales.

Well it seems it now been taken over by Rob Hales RH fisheries. Maybe a bit of a boy hood dream for Rob. Who's knows? Dont know what the fisheries is like these days? But no doubt the future looks bright..
