Thanks gents, feedback much appreciated. Someone had already pointed me towards the Aigle so that’s what I’ll be getting. It amazes me that more anglers haven’t cottened onto just how good a decent pair of neoprenes are on the bank. I wouldn’t be without them.

In reply to Post #4 Totally agree. Aigle neoprenes are the best in my opinion.
I’ve tried at least 5 or 6 other brands (even Le Chameau) and I much prefer the Aigle version. I get about 3 years of hard use from each pair. One alternative pair lasted only 5 weeks.
I now stockpile them - if I see a cheap pair I buy them. My current Aigle pair cost £90 in a Decathlon store. That is roughly half price.

Aigle Parcours ISO 2
Mine are worn daily, all year round for shooting, fishing and other general duties. They are ridiculously comfortable, and feel nothing like normal wellies.
Don't mess about with any of the others, Aigle make the best ones on the market.

I have the skellerup quattro wellies had them for coming up 2 years now. They're pretty bombproof, use them daily for dog walking and also occasionally shooting when my boots just won't do. Never had cold feet in them if anything they're too warm in anything but cold weather. I've had Hunter and Harkila wellies in the past that have ended up perishing and leaking after a year, the Skellerup' show no sign of wearing out, yet!

In reply to Post #1 It probably depends to some extent what exactly what you need them for, walking long distances where comfort's a priority or short walks and sitting by a lake where warmth may be more of a priority.
Aigle usually attract a lot of praise, but mine only lasted 21/2 years before they started to perish and crack. Le Chameau (cotton lined) have been the most comfortable for me over long walks. The warmest are Muckboots, mine are the Spey, I think they are now known as the Arctic sport, not too bad to walk in but not as good as a decent fieldsport wellie. Last year I took the plunge and bought a pair of Aldi specials, they leaked at the back where the rubber joined the neoprene but I've sealed them with Aquasure and they've been great, pretty warm and fairly decent to walk in. At £25 a go I could have 6 pairs for 1 pair of Aigles.
No experience of them, but look good are the Skellerup Quatro. I've seen them highly recommended on shooting forums and a friend uses a diffent model of Skellerup in both wellies and waders. He seems very pleased with them.

I’m in the market for a new pair having worn my current ones to death.
Anyone have any suggestions on “the best ones” as I’m sure my Fenchurch ones that I’d say were good can be bettered.
