I use Tx2 intensity rods with tapered mainline for bags, although i'm not a great caster I get 22-25 wraps pretty accurately, I think the tapered line helps a lot

I use beefy torrix 12ft 3.5lb rods.
I chuck bags like that using 18lb syncro, but can't get that distance.
Maybe using a shockie and thinner line or braid would get the distance, but no shockies on my ticket.

Seen a few videos recently where guys are using 3.5oz leads in solid bags to cast over 100yrds. I'm guessing the finished bag must weigh about 4.5ox.

What T/C rod would you need and what breaking strain mono to cast these bags those distances?

Thanks
