Middy do or did a purple pole elastic, it's bob on for marker elastic

I use a medium weight cotton in preference to elastic.
I tie it with a 4 turn slider knot and then put a tiny dab of nail varnish on the knot/line as a fixed point for reference.

Fox orange marker elastic. I use the pre cut Taska but they are now discontinued unfortunately unless you can find some old stock.

Can anyone recommend a good marker elastic, that doesn't slip or unknot itself ?
Or a decent knot ? Been using the slider knot, like you'd use with a sliding float. Thanks.
