Its a dump mate. If you're going around that time of the year then expect the lake to potentially be in flood, or the surrounding road side tracks being like a quagmire. The lake sits on a flood plain right next to the river Aire, which often bursts its banks in Autumn.

For whatever reason Sam the owner has decided to cut down a load of trees, but unfortunately he has zero skills with a chainsaw and has made the place look a proper mess. The track is pretty much not accessible to cars unless you have a 4x4, so expect to park on the top carpark and barrow.

Big fish in the trout lake now, all the fish move frequently when it floods and a number of fish from the syndicate lake ended up in there and never got put back. So all the syndi lads aren't best pleased either.

Expect it to be rammed. An angler every 30 yards or so. The lakes are just big bowls. Not much to find really, as they were dug to build the flood banks. The lakes are full of silt and other sediment and snags due to constant flooding.

I found fishing tigers close in worked well but its years since I fished it so that method may be null and void by now.

Yes it has some massive fish in there, but the venue just feels and looks neglected and uncared for.

Not sure on the particles probably best to message them on facebook or phone, I know the centre to top end of the lake there is a bar (told it was an old road) which is towards the middle and comes up 5 or 6 foot from around 13-14 foot.

Cheers, are there any prominent bars, drop offs? Do they sell particle at the lake? It mentions them preparing them in the rules

Fished it a few times, There's a lot more weed this year especially the far bank (from the entrance road) fish tend to follow the wind, dont rely on swimbooker saying how many swims are free, last time I went swimbooker site showed 4 swims taken, when I got there at least a dozen on.
