In reply to Post #1 Not these specifically, but i got a set of their C301 rods in 12ft, 3lb to cover a few months where my X5s were being rebuilt, and I absolutely love them. Nicely put together, lovely blank. Great value rods in my opinion

In reply to Post #3 Thanks for this info. I can buy 3 of them for 50 euro per piece. I wondered if they are up to scratch and if they do bend a bit. I like my rods to bend a bit on a fish.

Hi,
I bought three of these rods a couple of weeks back in mind to have an option to fish at range and use larger solid bags and to possibly semi retire my 25 year old 3.5lb Chimeras which have started to look slightly worn for this type of fishing.
I thought £300 for three from the fishing outlet shop, I’ll take a punt on a set. Now, I’ve not used them yet, but they seem pretty decent, nice understated build, lined rigs and a Fuji reel seat. I’d say if you’re not looking to spend a fortune on a set of rods that you want to abuse and not be too upset if one does go bang. Then these will probably fit the bill. They definitely feel a powerful blank to the hand. Just don’t expect much of a bend when playing a fish would be my overall impression, without actually using them.
When I next manage a trip out carping I’ll let you know how I find them in use.
Hope this is of some help.
Regards.

Has anybody got any experience of the newer Wychwood Maximiser rods, in particular the 12'9 version
All I can seem to find online is a couple of carpology videos with not much of a review.
