Had them all incl. ATTs and even though they are quite reliable I didnt fancy that they dont have a speaker as such.

The best price for money by far are for me the Sonik Herox clones from aliexpress from Hirisi. 4 indicators incl. receiver and bivvy light for 55 Euros incl. shipping is an absolute steal and I am sure they are not knock offs but the real thing. Work absolutely great for me (I use them as a third set) and are the closest thing you can get to Fox Microns. Look great, small and so far very reliable.
I am not a fan of ordering in China but the offer was just too good to resist.

If it were me, I'd be getting a secondhand set of ATT's. Firstly, they're cheap (relative to Delks, Fox etc), second, they're bombproof, third, you can much better manage all of the annoying racket that kids will inevitably make with speakered alarms ( ), fourth, you won't have to replace them if he gets into it properly, and finally, you can probably move on for what you paid if he loses interest.

NGT sets on eBay £35 for 2 rod set up 3 rod with hangers £45 if there just starting out great value and so is there luggage too

All depends on budget tbh..
You have the sonic sets which are fairly priced.
