For the money I don't think you'll get better. Had a mk4i for a couple of years and a plus for a few years, friend has had a plus for 3+ years also and not had a single issue with any of them.
Mostly used in the UK but also in France at range and can't fault them

I had the Actor Plus pro for 3 years, only used on French trips but honestly it was spot on, like below I messaged them just once in all that time regarding a small issue, instructions sent back to me same day, then with the aid of a small screw driver and common sense it was resolved in a few minutes.
Since sold it to a friend and got the Vulcan Pro, again no issues to date, used on 2 trips and find the sonar fine for what it was designed, looking for features, differences in depths, drop offs etc and the GPS more than accurate enough for what I wanted which was to resend the boat to spots accurately after a fish in the dark.
All in all a great boat for the price, simple to use and great customer service when required, I’m not a great bait boat fan but they have their place in my tackle👍👍

I bought a plus eith sonar past year, 2nd hand, and its been great. Used it for a couple of French trips and a handful of times in the UK and so far no complaints at all. I did have an issue with the one side of the hopper not opening, I contacted Boatman and rather an asking me to send it in (at a coat) they gave me some advice on what to try to resolve it and it worked. Also ordered a few accessories off them (waterproof remote cover, replacement hopper divider (my son dropped ours in the lake and we couldn't find it) and a spare battery) and all came next day delivery so service for me has been top notch as qell as being well priced

Anyone care to share their views on these please? Sonar more important than gps one of these or a ridge monkey echo in my budget
