Thanks everyone.
We've only just had a delivery of new base mix ingredients. I order the same base mix ingredients every time, but only in 25kg amounts. So maybe there is a difference in what I'm getting. Mixes with both the old and the new ingredients have both been disappointing.
I think we'll try some Catch-it labs plum flavour next.

In reply to Post #15 They’ve just bought out some Goo type liquids, think angling direct sell them.

The carp chronicles podcast did a pod a while ago with the guy from a flavour house that was one of the main ones from back in the day.
The name of both escapes me atm but could be worth looking at that ad an alternative.
Sure someone on here will know it. Before I can get back from the podcast page

In reply to Post #12 DT bait’s flavours are good as are opti-baits, the wizard is particularly effective.

In reply to Post #9 I’ve used quite a few of the catch it labs EA flavours, I can’t remember them all but definitely white chocolate, juicy banana, plum and pineapple. These definitely ’cut through’ the basemix ingredients if that’s what you are looking for.
Regards JB. I’ve noticed no difference in the quality of his plum, Toppex, crab or fruit shoot I think it’s called, so perhaps as you say you’ve got a difference in an ingredient?

In reply to Post #10 Yes, you are correct.

In reply to Post #9 AA baits flavours thread you say you used JBs flavours.

In reply to Post #8 No I haven't.
We've still got an amount of flavour left that'll see us through to the end of this year. We don't make a massive amount of bait, just enough for ourselves and a few friends. We don't carry a lot of base mix ingredients either. As you say, the flavours are well regarded, so I'm beginning to wonder whether it could be our base mix ingredients that have changed somewhat. We only order 25kg at a time as we can't store much more. But we order the same ingredients every time.

In reply to Post #7 Obviously you are talking about JB, You mention you use his plum in a previous post. He is very well respected so have you tried talking to him about it. I am sure he will sort it out.

In reply to Post #5 All our flavours have come from the same manufacture. All his flavours and other bait making ingredients are expensive. That's all I'll say on here.
We don't mind paying these prices if the end product meets our expectations. However, the last couple of mixes we've made haven't smelt the way the previous mixes have. We use the stated dose rate, and have changed nothing from the original mixes. We use Plum and his version of Scopex. The Scopex smell still comes out on the end product, but we've somehow lost the Plum smell. We've tried AA baits Plum and found it to not be to our liking.
I was just after other flavour companies we could try to see if there is something else out there.

In reply to Post #1 I’ve regularly used flavours from
John Baker
Catch it labs
AA baits
BAF
All have been spot on.
Optibaits are highly regarded but I’ve not personally used them.
I’ve dabbled with a few CC Moores flavours and they’ve all been disappointing and I wouldn’t use them again.
Hope that’s useful.

In reply to Post #1 I've had some nice flavours from Optibaits (Sam) and Biologic (Dan) - they have both been freshly made and not years old.
The Wild Berry and Blackcurrant from Optibaits might be a similar but different fruit for you. The Biologic Banana and then the scopex with the extra bits is
Where did your last batch of plumb come from? Any chance it's been on a shelf in a tackle shop / warehouse for a while before you bought it?

In reply to Post #1 Tony @ Premier Baits still sells flavours, and his baits were well respected back in the day.

In reply to Post #1 John Baker Plum is well regarded, unless not by you anymore
