I dug mine out as I think they'll be better for zig fishing on tight lines
Also like for planned winter piking as they can be set almost weightless
I will have to get the dud one repaired if possible

I'm still using mine, the illuminated ones, I just like the way they light up with a run, so versatile, can be set for slack lining or heavy long range work. I've had and still have solar bobbins, just got fed up with wind bleeps. If i get a bleep i know a fish is responsible. Ive had a hatred of false indication since I used Herons.

Those offset tags lined up the swinger in relation to the rod ,and allowed the power out socket to be accessed

Also ,who remembers trying to turn a delkim on using a boily needle as if you used stringers, ie the tabs either straight or curved you could not turn em on less one had real tiny fingers

I believe various extensions were made available to make it easier, I had mk1 solar kit offs for a while, to achieve it .

I think at the time when they came out, the holes lined up with the ‘power out’ and sounder box lead sockets on the most recent range of fox alarms at the time, so the jack plugs could go through the holes. Previous to that on the mk2 swingers, they had what they called ‘offset tags’, which as the name suggests, were not dead straight. They had a slight kink in them. Can’t remember if that was to make sounder box leads easier to plug in, or if it corrected the off center swing arm and recentralised it (the wire swinger arm came out of one side of the plastic bit that dovetailed into the “tag”.

Great stuff Scot, glad your sorted 😎👍

I think you're right re the off setting and holes, makes sense. I did buy a set of the illuminated Mk1s when they 1st came out a long time ago but I never used them and eventually sold them.

Thanks for the link vossy, they're the very ones now winging their way to me 👍
Fox call them tags which is probably why I didn't find the "brackets".
Why they have 3 holes I'm not entirely certain I can only think to offset the swinger's on the buzz bar.
I'll reach out to daletronics re repair

On the fault, no idea, maybe try Daletronics.

Re the tag, do you mean the indicator bracket like the link below?
Its the only thing I can remember with the 3 holes.

After reading the recent thread on zig fishing indication I dug out my old mk1 Euro swinger's, having not looked at them for at least 10 maybe 15 years however I've found 1 of them isn't working , does anyone know if this could be an easy fix?

On a side note I also seem to have "misplaced" 2 of the tag's I've searched around online a bit but can only find the standard tags with one hole ..any idea if anyone might still stock the originals with the 3 holes or am I hoping for too much there?
