Hi Just some info regarding replacing chipped or worn Fuji black DPS reel seat collars, my previous rods had black reel seats and never chipped etc so when I had my latest set built I went for the same despite the rod builder warning me that they may show wear etc.. and they did almost instantly!!
Marker pen never worked so I looked at replacing them, thankfully I found that the Tackle Box supply a SeaGuide reel seat replacement set for £3.99. With a bit of masking off and the gentle use of a dremel grinding disc the front metal collar can be cut through and prized off etc and the new seat slides down and using a reel stem and rear screw seat, it seats perfectly.
Obviously this will only work for rods with shrink wrap or slim duplon, and you are able to remove the screwed reel seat collar.
Hope this may help
