Well first weekend in the Hide XL pro and cannot complain. Even in a thunderstorm it was perfect. Put it up in seconds and packed down in seconds too. Condensation wasn't great but there isn't a single skinned biv on the market that can stop that, the vapourshield did it's job though. Enough room for my wide bedchair and chair. Very impressed for £220. All in all a pretty perfect weekend with a pair of mirrors on the zigs at 26 and 31lb.

Thing is if the doorway was higher it wouldn't offer as much protection from the weather. Well unless you're the sort that has the door zipped up, which I'm not.

I have the hide xl pro, its great when inside but imo a bad design with the door entrance so low compared to the actual full height, I'm only 5'8 but longer sessions using it my back is in bits

I’m 5’7”, and manage to put it up, although the first time I tried I struggled with the height, but you soon work around it. I’d have to say it really is the best bivvy I’ve had……… and I’ve had a few

I can only dream of being as tall as 5' 8" and still find putting up the XL easy.

I had a look at one in angling direct today. Got to say it looks fooking massive! Ok foot print not massive compared to some just looks really big, anyone got one who's slightly vertically challenged at 5'8" and can confirm it's easy enough to fan out? That was my only concern really.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago from TFT, it has the internal vapour shield which I guess is intended to give same benefit as the skill cap. Really good value at that price especially given the cost of many new bivvies these days.

For me it gives a good balance of size vs. space. With bedchair pushed to back (Trakker RLX) there is easily room for a chair still and luggage etc. Only niggle for me is no clear front door option only mozi or solid green. So big enough for a longer session but not too big for an overnight.

It's light, quick to put up and packs down pretty small.

Ye but an extra £200 without the infil just for the camo doesn’t make much sense to me.

Thanks for the input all. I pulled the trigger on the hide XL pro from TFT with infil for £220. Bargain. It does say it’s out of stock but when click into it, it says 10 in stock and you can still purchase it. If I don’t get it then it is what it is but for £220, that’s a steal.

Out of stock already.

I personally think the camo one is much nicer. If that comes up then I’ll buy another to freshen up….sell my used one

Honestly had the T2 Camo before and it was too big really and heavy and the T1 isn’t really that much less heavy overall so think the Hide XL is perfect
