Where is it for sale? I expect it will be too expensive for me but you never know...I did like the place when I went there and I have been learning French for 8 months now....

It is definitely worth visiting the cafe that’s situated next to the reservoir, and the Friday morning market in Saint Fargeau is a must. Go for Breakfast and sit amongst loads of French locals smoking their heads off whilst watching the world go by. Also well worth a visit is the Castle Guedelon that’s been under construction for decades using medieval building methods. Mind blowing how good these craftsmen are (they have built a castle - nearly!) Literally just around the corner. If you want to go further afield then it’s Sancerre all day long. Stunning French vistas and the wine museum is very cool indeed.
Love the place.

In reply to Post #3 Fished here with my 2 young sons last July
We only fished after breakfast for a couple of hours and after dinner until it started getting dark
We started off with 6 rods but ended up only fishing 2 rods as we couldn’t keep rods out long enough
Fished to the dam wall about 2 rod lengths off on the bottom of the shelf and away from the rocks using a baitboat
We had over 50 fish for the week, nothing big but very enjoyable. I tried one over night session but didn’t have a beep so didn’t bother doing nights after that.
We also rented the house and took full advantage of the heating swimming pool
Booked again for next April but on a drive and survive basis with my 2 brothers
Highly recommended
