In reply to Post #2 Agreed on the Bow Lites.
If I were looking to spend £150 I’d be saving for a bit longer and buying the Korda net.

In reply to Post #4 +1 on the matrix 3k.
I bought their 2 piece net pole, it's a lovely piece of kit. Rigid & compact

I’ve just bought the ESP Terry Hearn net and I’m more than happy with it, it has 44” arms too which is bigger than a conventional net

I have the Matrix camo but use a different handle. The new handle that's longer is on my 'list'.

Another vote for the Matrix 3k camo.
I did tie a little knot in the drawcord to tighten the arms a little (personal preference), but a quality light net

In reply to Post #2 Hi all
Just got hands on with the Fox X4S. Lovley bit of kit. Think my minds made up
The handle though 8ft is very stiff.
Felt very controlable and the extra length also felt realy welcome, I hate trying to net those 2am fish.....!!
They say its chunkier in diameter, but in comparison to mine its still whisker thin. Perhaps 20 mm ish
So a deffinate downvote on the T8.. [Thanks]
Yeah had thought about just changing the mesh but mines done about 35 years so it dont owe me nothing....!

In reply to Post #1 Have you considered just replacing the mesh itself if the rest of it is OK

In reply to Post #1 I've got a Trakker T8 at the back of my garage gathering dust - terrible net; no bow in the arms (looks like a triangle) and the handle is bendy . . . the mesh is also a weird depth
My recommendation for a simple but solid net is the Solar Bow-Lite; have had a pair for a while now and they're great IMO - arms have stainless overfit spigots and are strong but easy to remove when collapsing etc / mesh is a decent 'medium' depth and the handle albiet two piece is relatively stiff

Hi all
Looking for a new net. Mine has done many years and has been subject to more bankside repairs than i can count...
But now every time i put it together i can hear the mesh cracking just that little bit more...
Dont mind paying reasnoble money providided i can get some service from it, but have no intentions of paying some of the prices out there...!
So far looking at the,
Trackker Sanctury T8 42" with 6ft Handle
Or
Fox H4S 42" with 8ft Handle
So far leaning to the Foxy but ive not been able to get hands on, Does any one have one for comment (or any other general thoughts) ??
