In reply to Post #7 There was a group fishing orchid when I was there. Only because they messed up their booking somehow. They smashed the place to bits, 52 fish out i believe. Fishing clover lake with casting wouldn't really be practical as it gets mega weedy and the swims command alot of water so casting to half the lake from the 3 pegs would be impractical.

As Framey just mentioned Danny F discusses this place on the last podcast he has another lake on the complex which is opening July time I think he said it was Orchid lake which is going to be all casting due to the lack of weed in it definitely no boats.

In reply to Post #3 The weed was getting up near the surface in places when I was there. Primarily boat work but I had my bait boat so logged spots and dropped using that instead of smashing the place up with the big boat. Had 8 out of 9 takes in open water in the big holes in the weed beds. Only 1 from the margins. It's not really setup for casting especially if you want to fish some spots that are up to snags. I fished mainly to 2 spots 16.5 wraps at 21 wraps at the top of a clay bar which was clear of weed but wasn't a massive hole.
