In reply to Post #15 Mix monster crab and butyric acid…

The best hook bait that I have ever used. I always carry them.
When stalking carp on light float gear I once failed to get a bite from feeding fish after a couple of hours. Put 1/8th of a Scent Hell Pop Up into a bait band on a size 12 and had a bite in less than a minute, and then continued to catch.
They are nowhere near as disgusting or smelly as they were before they were even listed on the Baitworks website though. The first batch I bought were so strong that I almost threw up when I opened the tub when I had a hangover 🤮

In reply to Post #14 I’m not sure I could have that smell in the bivvy on a session. I packed up the car last night with a tub of SFH wafters in my tackle bag, got in the car this morning and nearly gagged!

Can’t be worse than n-brutic acid 🤮🤮🤮

They were evan worse back in the day , they eased off a bit now .
I still got a tub pink barrels from when they first come out
Evan the mice keep away ,
My mate uses royle marine and scent from hell now the smell from his swim follows him round lake , he gluggs everything in it , no rodents around his swim .
the smell put me off using smelly fish meals and made me turn on to nice sweet mc nut .

In reply to Post #12 Agreed.
It is the most rancid bait smell I've ever smelt, and I've smelt some rough ones.
Having seen previous threads on SFH, I wonder if it might be slightly batch dependent. Mine were something else. The car stank for many days after using it.
Glorious catcher though, not many baits that are so prolific.

In reply to Post #11 Really? I think that it is the most powerful, vile, lingering smell that I have ever smelt!! Worse than monster crab, secret agent, lobster, Thermidor, etc.

In reply to Post #2 They have a whiff about them but not as bad as some are making out here

In reply to Post #7 I’m not sure that would be enough

They do do one with added Pineapple flavour. That might bring the smell down a notch or two.

They are bad, they are awful but they do work.
There is a lot out there that also works without the death smell.
It would be good if Baitworks actually looked into selling proper smell proof tubs; they would rake it in (from the bait users and the weed heads)

In reply to Post #5 Double tub it if you think it’s that bad
Put the pot in a pot and then In a bucket.

In reply to Post #5 I stopped using it after I inadvertently spilled some on my rucksack, the smell is still there a couple of seasons down the line, so much so I’ve now decided to stop using it and leave it outside for the summer 😂😂😂😂 to breathe some life back into it 😂😂😂

In reply to Post #4 It’s like they mixed monster crab with smelling salts. Even with the lid closed it’s stinking out my shed
