In reply to Post #1 Drill/core out centre of pop up and add tungsten putty or split shot.
I still do that with bottom baits to turn them into either wafters or pop ups with foam or cork sticks

I don't know if this will help. The multi rig I tie is literally a hook, ring, line then weight to pin down the popup so no scaffolding.
So that it doesn't look like I have a malteser holding the rig down, I've been threading a tungsten dropper which I then wrap with lead wire and still have to wrap some putty around that.
Quite a faff, but at least now I have sleek mini twix on my rigs which is a little more discreet 😂.
Reality is the fish probably don't care...

In reply to Post #4 You can use lead wire piercing the pop up. But this will defeat the purpose of using buoyant pop ups.

Bigger swivel on your D, sounds like a size 8 might be needed.

In reply to Post #1 Just use a AAA shot. That holds down a Proper Job pop up.

In reply to Post #2 That's what I use, they sit perfectly on rig.

Hey,
Anyone got any neat methods of weighing down a buoyant pop up like corkers, proper jobs, Hayward specials etc on the multi rig. Looks like I’ve attached a boulder
Thanks
