You can spend ££ on SIMS but in reality I'd start with an Amazon special then go from there - I have a Mountain Equipment Helium 3.8 but to say its massively different in comfort terms from my other cheaper SIM is nonsense . . . the bigger thicker versions (eg Megamat 10) I'm assuming are def more comfy but they are also much thicker (38mm vs 100mm) and heavier etc

I got a relativley cheap bed, Wychwood Tacticle X standard size, and a very good quality sim, an Exped Megamat 10. Very comfortable, can be inflated to your taste, doesn't move about and will fold up in the bed with the Fortis bag. I'm not exaggerating when i say it's as comfy as the £1000 mattress we have at home.

Love this idea, suggestions on strapping the mattress down? I’m an active sleeper and think it would shift about perched on the bed chair

I currently have a trakker levelite lumber bedchair which i've had for a few years. I suffer from lower back pain from time to time and am thinking of replacing. Are there any recommendations or should i stick with what i have? I've got a trakker tempest 100 advantage bivvy so any recommended bed would need to fit into this. Tia.
