Seeing Ali in these shows is like watching a car crash happen in slow motion. His mental decline is slightly concerning & he could use an intervention IMHO.
I wonder if regular folks think we're all like this?

its still angling on the TV at the end of the day"
Yeah great, encouraging more joeys who think my past time should be polluted with all their chavvy bosh & bruv nonsense. Half these divs who turn up on ponds these days sound and look like they have just finished a 2 year stretch on B wing for selling pub grub.
Never watched a single episode, have no intention to neither.

Does anyone know where I can get an Ali Hamidi haircut?
I thought it was bang on trend.

In reply to Post #25 This is true.
They tend to be fishing on a hard gravel bottom or a very clear spot with an in your face popped up hookbait. I get that it's for the camera but it isn't realistic which again means we learn little.

In reply to Post #25 When the Korda underwater videos first started, someone on here said turn off the commentary and make your own mind up on what's going on.
I haven't seen this TV episode and probably won't but it would be interesting to first watch the underwater footage with the sound down and then again with it up, then see if you agree with the so called expert presenter.

In reply to Post #23 Good point.
99.99% of us don't have the luxury of viewing our sessions underwater. As you say we'd just change up until we catch. So in reality, maybe a camera would only have the potential to speed up the process? Unless you're Ali.

In reply to Post #22 Tbh , how much have we learnt from underwater , is it better just knowing you got something right when it blasts off and repeat . Other than the way thing land when cast out iv not changed anything because of them .

Some of these comments are comedy gold.
I didn't see Ali eat any fish s**t so it could be considered as progress?
A few thoughts.
How many days of underwater footage watching carp spook off the hookbait & take the smaller offerings does it take to realise that scaling down & matching might be the way to go?
Why don't they try to camo the cameras? Black stands out like a sore thumb under water. It looked very conspicuous & unnatural.
Why does Ali feel the need to get off with a fish or his fishing partner on every episode?

I was bored last night ended up watching it. Wasnt too bad tbh he kind of mellowed down a bit. Still made sure to get his partners to kiss him strangely. Mad how picky those carp were they knew exactly what bait not to eat

In reply to Post #4 Way too much going on with their rigs and hooks baits,.colour etc . Would have been better just putting some 12mm boilie out and fishing a out the bag bottom bait. Be boring tv I guess. I'll still watch it purely because it's intriguing the carp behaviour. Don't mind Ali at all, he is what he is. No ones perfect and everyone's cup of tea eh

In reply to Post #14 Pretty obvious how this thread was going to go
Watch it, don't watch it, Ali won't care.
