I use Minima ringset with a 16mm Kigan anti frap tip ring with no twist issues using Daiwa Iso or Shimano Ultegra with Esp Synchro or braid.

Can't see it myself, way too many people use minima guides for it not to be a known about issue too.

Thinner diameter guide, bit like rubbing ribbon over scissors. The only common denominator for me is the guides as I’ve used the same reels and line with the hearns no issue whatsoever.

I use ISO’s and avid outline, which I used on the hearns for two years absolutely no issue.

I've got minima rings, and I don't get this problem.

What mono and reel are you using?

Has anyone noticed line twist/ pig tail with minima style guides?

I first noticed it when using scopes a few years ago and just thought it was maybe the retractable part causing some issue, used QuickDraws and again line twist. This year I’ve ditched the Terry Hearns for some new trakkers rods and instantly getting line pig tailing.
