I think his point was the sticks/pod might not twist but whatever you put on them will 😀

The solar p1 captive range have the flat edge inner, however, the quality of these bank sticks is pure junk.

as mentioned - it depends on the materials being used & how the thumbscrew holds the inner section.

since switching from stainless to alloy, I have found that I don't suffer from anywhere near as much twist as I used to.

Funnily enough when I mentioned 'just moving the twist to the weakest point' I was actually quoting Keith from a discussion we had re pods & sticks a long time ago

>>>If only Nash done a triangular bank stick 30 years ago, and it took off<<<<

I still have mine and still use them. Bought them about 1986. I have never understood why no one else has not made triangular bank sticks as they never twisted in the ground or even the inner.

And another good feature of them is the threaded top is made of hard plastic and you can just pull it off the top of the stick along with your alarm or buzz bar etc and makes packing up and setting up an absolute doddle. And after 39 years, they are still a tight fit and secure.

Thanks guys, the summit ones look good with the flat profile on the inner. Does anyone know if the new jag pro light have a profiled inner?

I've never had a defiant MPS inner twist. Been using them for 15 odd years

I've found those with an alloy inner grip quite well, the locking screw seems to bite in a bit. Harder stainless inners don't seem to grip as well. I've machined a flat on the inners of my stainless banksticks.

Yep, and even then you're only transferring the twist to the next weakest part of
the set up.

To the op, why are you getting twist at the stick in the 1st place?
