Can't say I've ever noticed, or heard that, but it wouldn't surprise me

I was quite surprised how many bits of blue there was around that area ..

I was a passenger and then a driver up that way, so it peaked my interest

The Strathclyde lake in Scotland looked interesting and I didn't know the Clyde has barbel, very interesting ..

Yes pal,I was referring to sand and dove(east side of M6).Summer weekends really busy, but you can always get a peg,as both lakes combined have a lot of pegs.

Ignore me I saw something about it last year I think lymm anglers posted it. It’s now back to 24hrs and multiple rods must have been a test of the rule or just one that could be put in.

Shakerly is still a day ticket but 1 rod only days only now

Is that a very recent change or is the board there out of date? I looked at it, must be a few weeks ago, still had prices for multiple rods and 24+ hours. I'll have another look when next there.

Not 100% sure but I think both Sand and Dove have been in PAAS for quite a long time. Dove is the one bordering the M6.

You might be able to answer this but whichever one it is (sand or Dove) that borders the M6, did it used to be a day ticket? The names ringing a bell from well over a decade ago if I'm thinking rightly.

I'm led to believe there was a big fish kill on Shakerley a few years ago, most of the original stock lost but it was restocked. I speak to a few of the lads on my rounds though there aren't what I'd call many 'regulars' as in week in week out. Unfortunately, as is life, I've seen a few dead ones on my walks round, a couple of mid doble commons last year, reported it to one of the lads fishing so he could tell the bailiff. I also regularly see them spawning and to quote the Mrs last year as one cleared the water 'that wasn't a double'...lol
Most of those I see spawning or caught are commons yet in summer you'l see lots of small mirrors basking...odd.
When I used to fish it, to my knowledge, the biggest was a 28 which would go 30, I'd like to think the new stocking will go bigger if they have the genetics and the food (maybe they already have, I've no idea).

Sandmere & Dovemere do get very busy, I don't think Shakerley is that busy. As you say JP, on the Lymm ticket but it's also on a day ticket. Not been for donkeys years, but my lad has been at the weekend recently-ish and it wasn't too busy.
