Another vote here for Atomic Jel-e-wyre. I have been using it for years and it is just something I have built confidence in.

Even still, it’s only takes 30 seconds to steam and straighten a rig. Small price to pay for what could be the fish of a lifetime

Been using this for a while in 35lb, very impressed so far for keeping straightness and kicks the hook away from the lead when testing.

I found esp green is better than brown or black the black is nowhere n3ar as good as the green for straightness

I've been using the ESP semi-stiff hooklink for years and steam the links religiously (out of the rig box, after crap casts where I don't hit the clip etc.) and will leave them out 24+ hours without issue.

Are you experiencing it all the time, or is it sporadic? For me, it only really occurs on certain lakebeds, and I think it's useful information about the spot, where it's probably sat up over something.

Been using ESP coated braid in soft & semi-stiff for 3 to 4 seasons and it's been great for me.

I'm only using short links of 4 - 5 inches stored in a rig case, they come out straight.

Fishing short day sessions with plenty of moving so baits are only in the water for up to 2 hours and they have been fine on retrieving.

Might have to test one now reading this, it might also be lake make-up that possibly effects the coating?

Thinking anglers tungskin. Doesn't need heating to straighten.

Thanks mate,
Seems Coated Braid needs heat to straighten it.
With my flouro hooklinks I can get away with pulling it real tight for minutes, store it tight n the rig case, and days later it comes out smelling of roses.
Not the case with Coated Braid.
Also, if the Coated Braid is out in the lake for a few hours, reel it in and it's no longer straight.
Not having it.
Pity, 'cause I want to use a bog standard coated Multi rig.
I'll take a look at the Jel e wire anyways.

Atomic Jel-e-Wyre now it’s back.
I’ve been using the ESP soft whilst I couldn’t get hold of the atomic and found it pretty good. They’ll never stay straight all the time and need steaming as and when. I keep mine in a rig box where they are stored tight to help keep them straight and tend to just flip the box and steam them all at once.

Anyone know a decent coated braid that is easy to straighten, doesn't curl up so easily?
Currently using the ESP semi stiff which I like but requires a kettle, and after a while loses its straightness.
Cheers, Dan.
