I personally use braid on the reels to a fluorocarbon leader with no leadcore or other leader. If Iím dropping rigs from the boat Iíll use approximately 10m of fluoro leader, I use Berkley big game fluorocarbon leader , tough as old boots

Thank you.
Yes Iíve used braid before but cast if. In France there will be lots of boat work so Iíll get a bulk spool of power pro.

Would you do mainline braid to mono snag leader then to leadcore?

Have you ever used braid before?

Unless you're boating out baits or doing long chucks then stick to what you know if this is your first trip, especially if this is your first foray into the Carte De Peche Life. You'll have enough headaches to deal with to then add mainline issues to the mix.

To answer your question though, PowerPro in 40lb.

Hi all, off to France and Belgium for some public lake fishing. Just wondering on what braid people recommend? Floating or sinking?
