I had the trans Khaki previously but they only had 20lb in the shop so i ended up getting the exocet Pro LO-vis green instead. Went on well and settled nicely. Will have a cast next weekend.

This is all pretty sad news on a couple of levels.
Firstly I absolutely loved Catana and was looking forward to getting some of this reborn Catana. Sadly seems it's not to be.
Secondly, Solar seem to be a pretty trusted company by the majority of people and it's quite sad to see that they appear to have released a substandard line. Not good.

Thanks mate, I seem to recall hearing that before. Here in the U.S. I have been using Sufix Tritanium Plus, which has been very decent.
Not sure if it's available over ther, but it does seem very similar to the Gardner Hydrotuff, I used previously.

It seems like Solar have got these lines wrong,I'm shocked as their gear is normally very good 👍

Not used the bulletproof but I have used the mile high which I was told by solar (yes shock horror I got a reply from them) is their premium line. It was terrible so bad when I put it on the reels I thought well maybe I've put it on wrong and it must be put on in a special solar only way. Nope goes on like every other line it's just rubbish. I've used limper flourocarbon mainlines than that stuff

Same for me on this, spooled up with 15lb it was awful, coiled up like nothing I’ve ever seen before, stripped it straight off and back to syncro xt, there is nothing close il never experiment again it’s pointless.

Totally understand that, I was the same with crimps, had one slip and lost a fish, no matter how many guys on here reassured me they are bomb proof I couldn't use them again.

We get so few chances that you have to have no doubts about any item of tackle.

Should I get any issues with it I'll be sure to post on here 👍
