In reply to Post #6 I expect Kings Lynn is too far away? Look at www.carpersretreat.co.uk if not.

In reply to Post #1 Might be worth having a look at Coolacres near Crewe. On the way up that place from when I last fished it, the old fella isn't running it anymore. They've got a/camping pods now. The neighbour goes with his Mrs, says its a nice place now.
Seymour lakes is very nice too, Bristol way, search the forum or see Bristol Anglings site👍 edit more difficult tho and can be very weedy, no accommodation

In reply to Post #1 Barley Pool at Whelford may work, got a hut for you. Another small but nice lake, though may be pushing the 3 hour radius is Seymour Lake in Somerset, beautiful little pool and immaculate fish, including some stunning rudd. Has a small cabin woth shower, toilet etc but no accommodation. Close to the beach for days out and decent pubs with 5-10mins drive some nice food. Definitely intend to go back with the boy when we have time

I'm looking for a lake exclusive that doesn't cost the earth for 2 to 3 anglers. Can be flexible with dates and whether it's mid week or weekend. Alternatively the other option is a lake that has accomodation but not lake exclusive similar to blackthorn fishery but not as difficult or as expensive
Location wise up to 3 hours from Manchester is about as far as we want to go
Not looking for somewhere super challenging, it's more of a holiday and to get a bend in the rod
