Sorry mate, struggling to believe you. A top named rod builder would struggle to stay in business based on whst you've said.

Name them.

Where? I am not into these rods (I have Harrisons) but like someone else wrote, people would just return them.

I've been on ebay and they have these roads on there, but they are new rods, sold by shops.

I'm no massive fan of Korda at all, but is this really happening already?

All sets was bulit by well know rod builders. Yes what I am saying is its not worth paying all that money to buy customs when you can get rods that korda have brought out.

The market for high end rods is busier than ever. You just have to look at the waiting times to get custom rods built to see there still as popular as ever. Mass produced daiwa rids do go for very much second hand.

In one way or another you get what you pay for, what one rod will offer in distance it will lack in another department - not responsive when playing a fish or being heavy. Some will come apart after a season or two where cheaply built won’t last.

Having had lots of sets of rods over the years, I would say from experience get a rod that suits your needs - be it distance requirements, buy price or quality.

Jeff built me a set of rods recently, stunning finish and simply just quality. I am confident they will last for 20yrs as I look after my kit, and they will give me 10 x the pleasure in using them for what I paid for them (same as off the shelf price for exactly how I wanted them personally).

Very seldom does a more expensive rod catch you more fish unless for specific circumstances like fishing at extreme distances, fish with the rods you have got until you can save to buy the rods you desire if that’s what you want out of it all.

Most of all enjoy yourself 👍
