In reply to Post #2 That's not a bad shout. I vaguely remember having an old booklet with different knots and wasn't sure if I had got it from there or just gone rogue one day. I'll get out the bits this eve and have a go at recreating it

Looks like you did a knotless knot but looped the material after putting it through the eye and prior to whipping it on.

I found an old rig i did several years ago with a loop on the back of the shank to attach a rig ring (pic below). I cannot figure out how i did this and searching hasn't been successful so i hoped one of you wonderful people may be able to help. I know i could do a standard D rig but this looks tidier and i have too much spare time as everywhere near me is flooded.
What is this and how did i do it?
