I have some old carp-tech versions of the tent boots .... They are lovely with some foot warmers

Just ordered some of these Snugpak tent boots
Got them for £42 - hoping they'll make the long winter nights even more comfortable without needing to get into the bag. I'll post back when ive had a chance to try them, but combined with a couple of foot warmers could be just the ticket for the bit between loosing the light and getting into the bag and not worrying about getting muddy boots all over my sleeping bag.
Not planning on wearing them outside, just keep them for in the bivvy

Ive tried every season sock going from just a liner thru to 4season socks and then sealskins soxks (which are worse of the lot imo) .... all suffered the same fate ..... to be fair, it was the thicker or waterprrof socks that i found worse ... thinner socks held less moisture so were slightly better for me.
waterproof neoprene socks are the devil in disguise

I've not experienced that, is that not about choice of socks though?
Anyway, I remember I used to have some kind of waterproof neoprene socks. I could just wear trainers and my feet kept warm, but when I would take them off, my feet were like prunes, like I had been in the bath for 2 days.

i wouldnt waste your money mate ..... In my experience anything by Muck Boot just makes your feet sweat (and then cold). The more insulation and the more it is a problem (even if only worn when static) ..... On plus side they are well made, pretty comfortable and great for keeping feet dry if standing in water though

On the note of boots, I just ditched my baffin trappers, I never realised how bad they were at keeping my feet warm now I've got a pair of muck boot arctic pros.

These things have been a game changer for me. I am out all year round in all weathers but I suffer with really cold feet even when its not that cold, once it gets to 5-6 degrees my feet feel like iceblocks.
As posters say below I have also tried lots of £100 boot/£25 sock combos but I read about foot warmers on here last year and bought some. So glad I did.
I am fishing now, been here 8 nights and its barely got above freezing until today, I have Baffin Trappers next to me but haven't worn them once, I'm sat in an everyday pair of socks, Nash slippers, foot warmers and toasty feet!

I pretty much followed exact same journey for warm feet ....It's like branch of Deichmann in the loft!! ... I've spent a fortune on footwear from Brasher, Skeetex, Baffins, Sundridge, Muck boots etc over the years (and have kept them all) along with various different "season rated" socks .... Now I just use a pair of £25 lightweight EVA boots, lightweight breathable socks and footwarmers

They are great mate. I fished the last two winters using them.
In the past I've had good and expensive boots from Sundridge to Baffin
Frankly I wouod rather have a pack of these in my kitbag.
Personally I can't set up in anything too warm, so have to carry heavy gear.
I set up in light wool socks and Brasher boots. Then I go into winter lined cross
And thick Bridgedales. At some point in the evening if it gets cold enough
I stick the foot warmers in and they are like toast. So I don't have to take loads
Of footwear or keep changing socks cos of sweat etc.

I think they probably are unless you have the ability to charge heated socks every night. I see you can also get heated insoles now but they ain't cheap.

I'm now anemic following radiotherapy and cold feet is a big proble for me. Are these the best options vs slipping a Zippo down your socks - or something else?

I'm the same, and can be wrapped up so every part of me is warm but my feet will still get cold, even in Baffin Titans. I've got a pair of heated socks which are pretty good but the battery life isn't great, but on a recent visit to a local farmers store I found some of these warmers from Hot Hands so picked up 3 packs to try out.
