There are many different interpretations on what an HNV bait really is and there is no "written standard" that is regulated in order to call a bait "HNV" but an HNV bait should provide the fish with a lot of usable nutrition that is bioavailable, but in general, from many fish scientists and researchers over the years it is widely known and is generally used as a guideline that an optimal HNV bait should be something in line with the following:

35% Digestible protein content
50% Useable carbohydrates
The remaining 15% should be made up of a good mix of fat, oils vitamins and minerals (recommended oil content for carp is 7%).
The finished bait should be easily digestible

This is based on a carps dietary requirements during optimal temperatures (15-25c)

A carps requirements are different in the winter but will still feed on "optimal temperature baits" as above but will fill up quickly as it will take a long time to process them (can take up to 2 weeks), whereas a winter bait can be made up for the colder conditions.. Weather you class these winter baits as HNV is a personal choice as they offer a bait that is optimal to their needs in the cold months. A winter bait used regularly in water temperatures below 11degrees Celsius, need only be 5-10% protein and the rest almost pure carbohydrate. Ideally, there must be some easily digested oil content in the bait recipe. 4-5% oil (fresh soya oil is optimal as opposed to fish oil) is about the maximum required in any cold water bait.

But I'm sure you already know this @Sealine

Bait Buff you state ,
"From what I have seen and read about their baits they are of decent make up and are HNV"

perhaps you could explain the parameters of what makes a bait "HNV" I know what HNV stands for ,High Nutritive Value so can you explain what makes a bait one bait HNV while another is not ?

Those stones are ok if you don't need to cast very far, or be particularly accurate.

Interesting they are the only hook I ever had snap off at the bend on the take. Was 12 plus years ago but strangely enough binned the lot.

I like using stonz when fishing on silt on small venues.

Wow wasn't expecting that kind or reaction.

The hooks are pretty good and I also like the idea of stonz instead or regular weights

I went on a holiday trip with a friend’s family to his place in Devon over 20 years ago. Bloke was a muppet then and he appears to be even more desperate for a pound note now.

We used his ‘Jungle’ baits as he said they were the bees knees. They weren’t. I don’t know if they are the same baits now.

If anyone buys into his Venn diagram nonsense as anything other than an embarrassing money spinner then more fool them. Yet another parasite on the weaker minded angler.

From what I have seen and read about their baits they are of decent make up and are HNV, they seem to catch as well as any of the other "top rated" boilies. I have heard good things about their Multiworm as its something a little different as its made up of dried worms and no artificial flavouring so it can really give an edge over all the "going baits" on most lakes.

The owner is one of the fishing industry’s prime plonkers. There are, however, many plonkers out there making decent bait.

I've seen some glugged hook baits that they do but do they do any other baits?

they're portrayed as being at the pinnacle of bait

Do you mean by the owner? I don't think anyone else thinks that.

The owner runs a lake that he only allows you to use their own bait and end tackle. Either he has upmost confidence that his bait is the best in the world and everything else is bad....or, he is just out to make as much money as he can.
