After getting disilusioned with Shimano mini pit reels I moved over Fox Fx reels a few years ago and have both FX9s and FX11's ..... Both models have been excellent and I rate them very highly, nicer than Shimano equivalent imo .... My only criticism of the FX9s are they only retrieve about 80cm (from memory) of line.

I also have Okuma Inc 6000 reels which are on par with FX9's size wise .... For the money these are amazing reels and put the likes of Shimano to shame imo. I do prefer the aesthetics of the FX9 and they are marginally nicer in the hand but the Okuma's are difficult to ignore at this size range of reels

I went for Okuma Inceptor 6000 for my 10ft rods and very pleased with them so far.

I had a problem with line going under the spool on one when they first came out.
Stripped off about 20 yards or so and haven’t had a problem since.
I have 6 of them.

Anybody got any long term reviews on these, looking at getting a pair for some 10ft rods, my mate rates his fx11 highly but I’ve only ever used shimano and daiwa. Had a play with an fx9 in the tackle shop at weekend and felt really good quality. What’s your thoughts ? Cheers
