In reply to Post #1 Has anyone got a link to this podcast? I'd like to have a listen

In reply to Post #40 Oh the irony, can't you just bugger off instead of slagging of those who help to give you the platform to spout your vitriol

In reply to Post #38 Please get your facts right-
1. Nobodies name is mentioned in my post, as I was asking in general.
2. I actually asked the question - does someone has to be mentally challenged in some way to have a capable of living on the bank for weeks months at a time, putting heath, family life etc - in fact turning ones back on all the things associated with a “Normal Life”
If anyone wants to do such things, rock on it’ your prerogative!

In reply to Post #36 anyone can be a moderator on a carp forum if you have countless hours, days and months to waste on a computer.
quite sad in my book.
Each to their own, stop slagging people just because they have choosen to do something different to you.

In reply to Post #38 For me the opposite would be true - spending more time on the bank would improve my mental health. Can only assume there's an axe to grind somewhere, there usually is in carp angling.

In reply to Post #37 Its funny how guys who spend their time working a boring job 5 days a week, can claim someone is mentally retarded or there's something wrong with him as he chooses to spend his time fishing?!
I'm guessing you guys that slate him below, fish? and if so please let me know what the optimum time per week is to spend at a lake, before its considered retarded?
Jim turned up at a lake i was fishing couple of years ago, only did a few nights and never saw him again but there wasn't anything perculier about his style of fishing from what i saw.
The only thing that annoyed me about Jim was that the 'client' fish actually came from a different water than what he stated in his book which was a bit annoying and haven't really followed his stuff since then.

In reply to Post #36 Too true Joss, there’s much more to life than camping out in all weathers waiting for a fish to inevitably pick up a hook bait.
I honestly don’t know how anyone can do it without going mad, or do you have to be mentally challenged to actually go and do it?

In reply to Post #32 Someone once pointed out:
People fishing for fish that are showing near him = sheep
Him fishing next to people that have fish showing over them = amazing location skills.
I know he had a payout years ago, but when fishing is your livelihood you have to big yourself up to keep the money coming in 🤷🏻♀️

In reply to Post #30 I posted something in a thread he was on on here once (nothing abusive), and he messaged me asking if I had a problem with him.
Only ever listened to about 5 minutes of a podcast with him on. Does he still do that ‘sigh’ when explaining something, like his carp fishing intellect is just too much for mere plebs?
No doubting he can catch carp, but he’ll do anything to achieve it, far beyond a bit of stroke pulling.

In reply to Post #30 Rest assured they are true. 100% true. No green eyed monster here. No doubting the man can catch them. But there is no need to be an absolute dick while doing it

In reply to Post #31 The sheep thing is more about people who used to follow him around and jump in on the hard work he had done to reap the benefits without putting in the work. One of the reasons he stopped fishing in the UK and concentrates on more wild unknown fishing.

In reply to Post #28 The guy is full of it. He court's attention then plays a victim calling anyone who shows an interest a sheep. The bloke isn't wired right.

In reply to Post #29 I can't personally attest to how true all of those things are, I do know that many green eyed monsters have come out with a lot of things that aren't true to make him look bad because they haven't been doing as well as him and they want to justify why. Anyway either way he seems to be a lot less of an issue to people these days.

In reply to Post #27 Not sure about that personally. Being refused tickets for places so just cutting down fences and fishing them anyway, poaching fish from no fishing waters and moving them into places he can fish so he can publicise them, rocking up, casting straight across other anglers swims to get to "his" spots and then threatening physical violence when challenged seem quite a bit further than most would go to me.
