In reply to Post #19 Sounds like Fosfar syrup to me..

In reply to Post #17 Fosfar is translucent red raspberry smelling liquid
Ambio was much thicker really dark red again fruit flavoured but with a meaty background smell
It was deadly in the late 80s early 90s. Minamino and multimino were a poor second.
I think the animal parts that made up ambio made it so good.
Could try 50 percent fosfar and 50 percent pharmaceutical liquid liver. Unfortunately I think as Dave said its the spleen and other offall that made it special.

In reply to Post #17 Nope!

Wasn't it just Ayrton Saunders Fosfar syrup...

In reply to Post #1 a friend has spoken to Dieter from Forgotten Flavours who 'might'......might be in a position to produce this as Dave Chilton has shown the ingredient listing.
Im guessing, if there was a demand for it again, he would. Big investment though, id huess.
I hope he does as it was pretty special stuff.

In reply to Post #14 If they were, they would’ve probably carried on selling it 🤷🏻♀️
Or someone else would

In reply to Post #13 Unless they were pulling peoples pants down with the price?! Let's be honest, there are loads of products that are identical, but sold under different names, and at very different prices. And the angling world is a prime example of that. A £20 bulin stove with a tackle company name on it doubles in price, a £5 bottle of cod liver oil with a bait company bottle doubles in price.

In reply to Post #12 Me probably wording it not proper like.
Who’s to say that the pharma company hasn’t stopped making it? Especially if it was to do with the lack of bovine products because of mad cow disease at the time (iirc)
I’ve always found Dave to be a top bloke - if it was still available, he’d say.

In reply to Post #11 Exactly that

In reply to Post #10 But that’s still not to say the pharma company doesn’t make it any more. Like lots of things.

In reply to Post #9 Ok so it was labelled by them not rebottled.

In reply to Post #8 Quote from Dave Chilton I referenced in previous post
"unlike many bait companies it wasn’t made in house or bottled by ourselves but produced for us by a leading pharmaceutical company in tamper evident bottles straight off their production line. in other words we couldn’t tamper with it or water it down.

In reply to Post #7 Yes it's linked earlier. The kryston stuff isn't available, but what it was ,is. Do you think kryston actually made the stuff themselves? Of course not. It was just bought in and re bottled from somewhere else.
Don't know what all the fuss is about, I didn't rate the stuff personally

In reply to Post #6 Not available any more. Dave went into this in depth somewhere not that long ago.
Out of all of the long lost carp bait products, Ambio was the one.

In reply to Post #3 There was another thread years back explaining what it was, I'm sure it was on here, but it's possible it was on the black forum. It was definitely something still readily available
