In reply to Post #1 In the local tackle shop there will be a leaflet with all night fishing sections/no fishing sections, can also be found online i believe.

In reply to Post #2 I've got this book. Not sure it's that useful to be honest, some interesting stuff in there but very minimal and won't really help . Look for weedbeds in spring, the dam end is interesting. Catfish have now become a nuisance which is a proper pain in the arse. Lots of info on YouTube/ web etc which may help you - stunning lake but a complete circus in the summer months. Probably my favourite carp water.

In reply to Post #1 There is a book you can buy on salagou, and you can get the English version also.
Not the cheapest, but it's very informative on the lake itself.
You definatly need to be at the right place at the right time of the year.
It's not a place for the inexperienced angler. A boat is essential.
The lot doesn't have many decent places where you can fish from the bank.
The best places are only accessible by boat.

I've decided next year I'm going to put a week in at either salagou or the river lot as both not too far from my dad's house.
Tbh I wouldn't know where to start on either in regards to places you're allowed to fish from, right places at right time of year etc...maybe I should read a book or two 😂😅
Which I may well do but thought I'd ask on here also.
Probably looking at June or September time.
